Who the hell do PN think they are? Once one of their employees leaves their company, they have no right to say what lines they are qualified to run on once in the employ of another operator.

Complete garbage.

Are Qube now operating infrastructure trains for Metro? There is a photo on Vicsig showing G532 & VL360 stabled at Paisley with a spoil train. Does anyone know why Metro have stopped running these trains themselves? The hired T & B locos no longer have their logos on them and they have also stopped running transfer trains to Ballarat (SSR now do this).

There is a pic over on Vicsig of GL112 hauling some newish looking cement containers at Albion on Friday. GL112 is listed as stored at Junee and for sale in various places, antone kmow if this is Mildura SG traffic or other and who the operator is?

May or may not be the wrong thread, but since this thread is still relevant and is titled 'Victorian', here goes:
While waiting for the steam train to pass at Glenroy Bank today I saw the newly refurbished Comeng sets passing with 'Richmond' on the destination screen. This was at 2:15pm. I suspect it might have been the extra service to Southern Cross for the footy (at Etihad, the other game had started an hour earlier), but then why would it be going to Richmond?

N class with a H set just passed through Morwell heading towards Traralgon. Any idea what it's doing?

Reubstar, some footy specials from the northern/Newport group terminate at Richmond. Can’t really give you any more details off the top of my head sorry.

Two CFCL ore hoppers stabled on BG in Tottenham today, didn’t get the class sadly. Pardon my ignorance, but what traffic are these used for? I can’t recall ever seeing them before.

It's best.

But V/Line are short on long distance stock, so Traralgon are getting some Hs.

2 CFCL EL locos (EL64 & EL63) hauled a 14 carriage passenger train through Gheringhap this afternoon. Does anyone know where this train is going?

I have just done my research and found out that this train is a Southern Aurora ANZAC special running from Sydney to Ararat and other places this week. It is being run by St James Rail, has anyone ever heard of them?

Blimey, how did these guys slip under the radar?

Fully booked, looks like a wonderful (and expensive!) trip.

Judging by the website quality and other tours offered they are not mucking around either.

This was at about 11:30pm during the shutdown so it doesn't really explain anything because the train was stabled at Traralgon Yards the day before with the loco facing the Melb end....

Sitting on the 07.41 Dn Swan Hill awaiting departure from Southern Cross, nice to see A66 on the point of an Up pass hove into view right next to me. Haven't seen her for a while.

The train she was hauling was absolutely PACKED, standing room only.

Big SSR lash up heading through Totty yard on the Up by the looks of it. Too big for Kensington I would have thought, heading for Appleton maybe?

A bit of Blue and Gold action at North Dynon this morning with what looked (from a distance) like an S - B - S lashup being put together, I presume for Qube.

SSR unloading at Kensington this morning with a B and an S by the looks of it as we sped past in a Sprinter.

Immaculate rake of hoppers was great to see with not a piece of graffiti in sight.

True that, I have been past a few times recently on an evening bus and the locos have been stabled there every time.

Speaking of grain trains the whole of the Qube rake is now stabled at North Dynon after having been sitting at Tottenham yard for months.

Gauge conversion time?

They're CGSY wagons - I think these are already SG going by V/line's NSP Addenda.

Thanks @Carnot, I thought this was the Qube BG rake that was hanging around Tottenham for a few months but which I haven't seen for a few days. There have been the odd 2 or 3 at North Dynon recently but first time I recall seeing the whole mess of 'em there.

So it's Dead and buried, the Qube BG grain trains. Somewhat surprising given the Sealake and Manangatang lines aren't going SG until at least 2020.
