What other commodity?
Qube had a contract with Murray Goulburn at Cobram, possibly still have with the new owner of MG.
PN had the contract with Bega at Strathmerton. Possibly now on the Qube train.
Not enough rail traffic out of Tocumwal for 2 operators at the moment and as Qube are running to Mooroopna might as well to let them have Tocumwal freight for now.

I recall when both El Zorro and PN were running the Tocumwal Trains and there was plenty of loading back then.

@bevans - drought.

Pity the Riverina freighters didn't have a path through to Tocumwal - the viability of rail freight to both regions would be greatly enhanced by this.

Well, there is a drought.

There was the farmgate milk crisis with Murray Goulburn who lied to farmers about the starting price for milk.
Some farmers could not live with a price under $4.12 for milk, and took the ultimate solution.

2 years ago, 142 orchards were ripped out with a backhoe.

Then we have the Murray Darling Basin Authority, the price of water, and rooms full of angry farmers.

And smeg heads buying and selling water on the markets - and these fellows have nothing to do with water, just making a profit out of buying and selling a commodity.  Tell me how many farmers are happy with the price of water?

What about the plan to allow B-Triples on our roads?
