Bevan, look out for the replacement gear parts to fix Trainorama locos, apparently at the Auscision Stand ( but made by another) - that is big news as the price is good to do many locos.

I'm there visiting saturday morning, say hi ! Wink  ( this goes to anyone Wink )

Hopefully it's also an opportunity to update the status of a lot of the Victorian stuff either in the pipeline or being rerun with samples etc.

Some websites have been idle with this for some time, so perhaps there'll be something for the local punters to drool over??

Back from the exhibition and was it busy.

Ascision have a bargin bin with some L class and B class locomotives needing work for sale.

Lots of layouts and plenty of trade stands to spend your money at.  Most interesting are the soon to be available Tait cars which I think I will need to buy.

I noticed the supply of Phoenix Productions at various stands coped a flogging between when I arrived and left. Was there from 1130-1400.

No news to be found  on any of the expected releases of local models, other than the IDR W class in November.

Pretty much an exhibition of the status quo. But still worth the look.

My take aways from the day:

  • How badly did Auscision misjudge the L class project to still be trying to flog them off cheap?
  • I remember when the move to Caulfield felt like a big improvement for space and layout.  Compared to Rosehill it feels claustrophobic these days.
  • Ettamogah and Bethungra Spiral are awesome layouts.
  • Picked up some Phoenix AOGA wagons and one of them has already required gluing back together after the side started to separate from the floor.  I guess that's how to do it if you want interior detail but it will be interesting to see how they hold up compared to one piece injection models.

Still, a good show and spent a couple of hours wandering around.

A few photos I took. my stand out huge find was the smallest, the two T gauge layouts.

One of those T gauge layouts had working trains, moving cars, level crossing booms that worked and flashed !

The other the iconic PBR trestle and tr
