O scale track cleaning carriage

Looking for something to run in front of a loco to clean the track, want to use either IPA or transmission fluid so something that can hold a container of liquid and dispense it to the track would be good.  Also don't want to spend too much money as I'm a cheapskate modeller Smile

A piece of PVC pipe and end caps glued on and a inlet and a outlet made through small holes and small on off valve and you would virtually have it. You would need to glue on something to hold the bogies or underframe on though so you do not put any holes in the tank section . PVC pipe like used in sewerage and basin drains should be impervious to the either of what you want to use. A hardware store would sell you some but a metre would be about the minimum they might sell. But it would be reasonably cheap and the metre piece would allow for errors making one or if you are lucky on the first try a car or two extra. Here is a chart for Pipe sizes used in Australia and the nominal size DN is what it is sold as by hardware shops.
