    I like how we find relics from our Aussie history. How come Vic and Qld started these projects when they say we need the Fed's. Then Walla  we have a few  billion dollars for a hole.. Country hospitals blah blah will billions be given to these states later by labour? Then why did they stall and ask the feds for the cash. Oz style democracy..

    If I haven't got the money to build something. I won't. So  why can state labour find the extra billions when it was meant to come from the Federal  Labour victory.. Fake News or ignored mews.

    Because Labor (of all flavours) puts their government into debt whenever it feels the need, then leaves it to successive governments to pay it back.

    Noticed the thread title was about historical artifacts so I eagerly read the posts hoping to find informed discussion on these artifacts. But disappointed to find my initial eagerness was misplaced as the discussion seemed to be mostly political instead. I stopped posting in Railpage's political threads as they just go around in endless predictable circles.

    I can't speak for petan, but I was hoping for some sensible comment about artefacts. Instead, I got a barely readable diatribe which seemed to have been written (a) off topic and (b) under the influence of some mind-altering substance.

    Incidentally, I don't think we "where" "hopping" for "Romen" villas;  perhaps we were hoping for something Roman.

    I wouldn't rule out the possibility that hopping for Roman villas is the latest (activity) for (charity) fundraising scheme.

    If so, I think it would be wise to know where people are doing it.

    I can confirm that it's a hole, but unfortunately nobody wants to give the poor town a few billion dollars.

    I think you might nearly be able to buy most of the town for that.

    An interesting dichotomy from C2, ah hell, I’m not explaining it, C2 doesn’t even know what dichotomy means.
