45+48 Wynnum Friday morning to Manly, then back to City.

There appears to be a large shift in the EMU use on the Cleveland line the last couple of weeks.  Prior to then it was common to see one or two units work all day, particularly on weekends, from the first to last service namely up to 5 return trips Cleveland to Shorncliffe at approx. 4 hours per round trip.  Just recently their use has dropped dramatically and this week seems to be only one unit per day sometimes, and then only on short runs to Manly and back in the peaks.  Or like 2 days ago there was a morning run to Manly and back, then it returned to Manly empty and was stored till mid afternoon then back empty to the City, for again an evening peak run to Manly and back..

As explained in the previous post 45+48 did run back to Manly empty about 0915 after their brief journey on the 0628 departure from Manly.  They stayed there till 1445 and then returned empty to the City, most likely to run another single trip to Manly in the evening peak.

@phil_48
This is also the theme on the Redcliffe line. There is one working per day, sometimes it doesn’t run or replaced by an NGR. This comes in on a peak run then parks at Kippa Ring till the afternoon peak then it runs back to the city.
