I don't get the tirades against Aaron on this thread - he can be brusque at times but he's been an informative regular on the forum many years. I've crossed swords with him many times and I think those above who have taken offence at him need to step back and realise that its just an internet board and we're all grown ups (well I assume anyway). So harden up...
Anyway after having to watch Nine News for half an hour they finally revealed that the new Northern Expressway link is due to open first week of March... Transport Minister Wonder Boy announced it so I guess it's for real.
Looking forward to using it as I have a friend in Angle Vale and it'll be about 10 minutes faster than Port Wakefield road (so they say).
He might be brusque as you put it but he could have a bit more concern for other people other than his ego. In person he comes across as a nice sort of person but on here it is open season on people, yes I have met him in person and what I said is how he comes across, but once behind his keyboard he turns into something else. Sort of like a lot of car drivers in this state nice people who would do you no harm in the world but put them behind the wheel of a car and watch all the fireworks start.
He is informative at the best of times but he needs really to work on his communication skills a lot more, so that he does not tear a strip off, of any one, remember you might be next in his firing line. He will not admit he might be wrong on something, though and everyone hopefully knows that not everyone knows everything in this world. You name it and he has done it, or so it seems but he himself has said he did not go to the place on his Avatar even if he did it makes him no better than the person that learn't things the hard way, by the seat of his pants as they say, experts in anything can be wrong and I have seen so called qualified experts make extremely bad mistakes where a amateur can tell them it would not work.
Just because he hates or dislikes certain people he has no real need whatsoever to add that into a simple reply to a question. Answer the question yes, but leave your ego etc at the door on the way in.
