A man has been taken to Young Hospital on Tuesday morning after a truck and train collided at a level crossing near Bribbaree.

From the pics I've seen it looks as though the truck has actually driven into the side of the train! Could that be right or is is just that something from the truck struck and dislodged a container mid train after it was struck by the locos? Also a couple of wagons derailed mid train as well?

Correct, BG. Struck mid-train. And I am not quite sure how the Truck Driver missed a train passing in front of them?

We have seen it before at Swan Hill very deaths and western Victoria.

I guess it's possible there was some sort of mechanical issue with the truck.

It's not like theres a obstructed view there!
