For some reason all of the options have merged into a blue mess on the left side of the screen, even when I clear my cache the problem does not leave

I have a browser and slow (mobile data) connection that does something similar from time to time. Instead of properly loading everything, it loads all links, forums, etc down the left hand side (but not compressed as in your case)... in Times New Roman script. If I then select (say) View New Posts it corrects itself.

I know it is trite to say, but have you logged-off your Windows profile, then logged on again... or better, powered down and re-started after ten seconds? I find this fixes many browser problems. I use three browsers for various reasons, and sometimes there is a glitch in starting up. Opera will sometimes start up and tell me there is a file or resource missing and stop dead in it's tracks. Re-starting the computer fixes it.

Also I find much slower loading times for RP compared to other sites and this might affect how it screen appears.

I have seen this once or twice  but have myself out it down to the amount of internet use over the covid19 timeframe.  RP is loading fast for me in the office today but sometimes the front page is slow but overall it works.

Me three! I am on the internet most of the day 6 days a week for work and RP is consistently the slowest loading site of the many that i visit each day.

I presume that it is due to the size of the site but then again I visit sites with thousands of products for sale, forums etc etc which don't have this problem.

We have our own site for work and so I am acutely aware of how expensive it is to host and operate a website so please don't take this as a criticism @bevans just more me being inquisitive is all.

The front page is the from my experience the longest to load and has the most content but at the bottom of each page I can see there is a meter stating the page load time.  This one was 0.6 seconds but agree it is slower now than what it was around Aprilish timeframe as I have been mostly bored with life with the virus using the site more.

The other consideration is the amount of data the site has it has got to be massive this might be the issue?
