Do you know what the plans are for X50? Was she withdrawn from the Mildura freight last year on a/c needing repairs?I have no idea. All I know is it's currently doing a tour of PN's stabling locations.
Don't think i really need to think very hard as to why...Bluescope - I'll leave it to people's imaginations the reason the sale fell through.Any idea who it was going to be sold to?Vicsig now has H1 as scrapped. Piccie of her minus panels and fuel tank, though not broken up. Can anyone (I'm looking at you, Fatty) confirm her fate? And what of Y152 next to her?H1 is at North Dynon in the process of being scrapped with some parts heading to another loco. Y152 was to be sold to another operator but the sale fell through so it's now going to be scrapped. X50 is currently at UGL undergoing repairs.
I will resist the temptation to ponder aloud how V/Line and Maintenance are usually mutually exclusive terms.one would expect that it would be a parts donor if v/line have got it, remembering they run at least 4 between southern cross and geelong.
If correct, that would make V/lines latest acquisition the second oldest loco in the fleet.
