It is debatable if the NSW Candy Livery was the best livery in Australia for a railway company.  I can think of some other which were kinder on the eye.

The VLine Purple Livery is one of the best.

Better than NSW livery where sunglasses were a necessity to look at the locos and rolling stock.

Colour schemes and liveries are always a matter of taste and personal preference.

I personally prefer the original 'duco' spray painted Royal Blue of the Spirit of Progress of 1937 which had actual 24 carat gold leaf applied for the 2 horizontal lines for the length of the train
Nothing can beat that.
