The corona virus COVID-19

  Mr. Lane Chief Commissioner

A very good article by an Associate Professor at Uni of Melbourne:

Carnot
The mask policy no longer make any sense...there are crowded-ish restaurant tables outdoors...and even indoor there is relative proximity, but if I am walking alone outdoors I have to wear a mask?

It makes zero sense for outdoor masks now. Ditch it.

So here's your chance to stop the spin.

Please tell us the actual reason that Ms. Peake resigned.

Your opinion won't suffice; it has to be the actual reason. Can you do that?

We have a Government with zero accountability, lack of transparency (hard questions just become a can that gets kicked down the road) they have been proven to of been telling porky pies to the public (press releases that contradict with what they claim they said)

They are ruling with a stick.

Very odd that people are so sucked In by the spin doctor propaganda, like Stockholm Syndrome (I know people who will will only get their news from one far left news source)
If you go to Berlin you can spend days In museums studying the power of propaganda (as this City suffered greatly from It from 1933 right through to the fall of the wall In 1989)
Museums In the likes of Amsterdam, Wien, Praha, Kraków all tell the same story.

They are yet to acknowledge their dodgy quarantine program failed and caused the devastating second wave (though all the evidence points that way)

Go to Eastern Europe and see for yourself how well Socialism worked out for them !

As for loss of democracy, how?  As the Victorian constitution being changed, ignored or replaced? If you think the last few months the govt was heavy handed then you better pray Australia never goes to war again, you may be in for a real shock when the war cabinet is formed and freedom of the press, freedom of movement, compulsory carry of ID cards, random searches, curfews, etc etc all suddenly get flipped overnight.

G'day all,

Not to mention the confiscation of all mobile phones, digital devises, the turning off of all civilian GPS systems and the introduction of rationing etc.

We have a Government that won't tell the truth to the public, so your guess Is good as mine.

Simple case of rats jumping from a burning ship.

Oh just like the CFA and Dan's evil plans to abolish volunteer emergency services (look at all the public servants that have resigned or been sacked over that debacle) Is that a nothing to see here, move along Issue ?

We had some stand by Dan people In my fire brigade (mostly from the education system) who now think he's a complete flog) after learning what In store for the future of emergency services, the bully tactics, thuggery and jungles of new bureaucracy and red tape. (very Interesting seeing how they made such a turnaround)

Some people's Ideological sermon Is extremely swayed by who Is paying their wage and their prospects of greatly boasting It (If they tow a certain line)

Take a step back and see what's going on, than look to the rest of Australia.

She resigned to pursue other options.   In corporate speak it means "I was pushed."
To the rest of us it means 'I wasn't doing what they wanted' or 'Even Dan thought I was incompetent. '
We will never know the real reason as Dan is as transparent as a brick.

I don't think been to that part of Kraków only around the central part where the trams take you (I was there for a fun run)

When I was there the temperature was In the 40's and the humidity up near 100 % not the nicest to be out exploring the City, though no doubt a very Interesting place, the crumbling façades of the old buildings wan an eye opener.
(wouldn't recommend any hard core greenies travel there, plenty of old Solviet style Industrial facilities bleaching out smoke, piles of coal at railway yards)

A few days ago Donald said that the remaining active cases in Victoria, all scattered in the South Eastern suburbs, were actually all from the same family in the North Western suburbs, but can't remember why.

The only reason that you think that we have a government that won't tell the truth is because you disagree with what they say.

The correct proverb is "Rats jumping off a sinking ship."

Volunteer emergency services are not being abolished. If you suggest that they are, you are nothing more than a s..t stirrer.

Red tape saves lives.

Very few members here are paid by the government; even if they were, they would retain their bureaucratic jobs regardless who is in power. And it is TOE the line.

Take a step back and realise that you are not very smart.

There is no doubt that Victorians (the public that is not the pollies or DHHS) have done a great job in getting the Covid numbers down so low but to gloat about Vic's numbers compared to NSW is just laughable

"Fourteen days straight in Victoria with no new coronavirus infections. By comparison, NSW yesterday recorded its sixth straight day of no new locally acquired cases. It's not a competition, of course. What am I saying? You bet it is"

This of course conveniently ignores the fact that NSW is doing the heavy lifting in taking returning Aussie travellers while Vic it taking none at all, that NSW managed to keep it's economy open even through some pretty major clusters and outbreaks due to it's de-centralised and well run contact tracing system and what was the other thing? Oh yeah, that's right, most of NSW's recent cases can be traced back to the Crossroads Hotel cluster which was brought in from Victoria!

Pathetic and partisan parochialism at it's worst from someone who should know better. And as far as this Victorian is concerned just plain embarrassing.

Considering Vic pulled Australia back from the edge of returning to normal domestically and transport bubble with NZ in June and cost the country around another $20-25B in debt and no supported the return of even one Victorian expat since June, the Victorian's should be keeping their mouth shut.

I thought Trioli had more sense. Speaking only of the present, we're in good shape, but writing about the eternally stupid Vic v NSW "competition"  is moronic.

The Coronavirus is really going from bad to worse in other part's of the World, the U.S is seeing daily cases of over 100,000 a day now, currently they are experiencing over 1,000 daily death's as well, the longer this whole thing goes on for I really do think that the comparison between this and the Spanish Flu won't be too far off the mark, of course there are subtle difference's, but in some aspects it's quite staggering the similarities.
