Hi guys,
With the inevitable arrival of the SDS T class probably making my efforts on this moot, I'll none the less pose the question to the group, as to whether anyone has tried to renumber an Austrains T class form any of the models road numbers swapped across VR V/Line or Freight Australia liveries to be different from what was offered from Austrains?
I do know the metal side plates come off as I've managed this, however on the T there's the matter on the small number boards on the long end and the cab. Does anyone know if these are an inserted part from the manufacture where it is possible to remove these, or are they a sealed and integral part of the casing? Not interested in putting a decal equivalent over the existing as I donot believe this would be of a similar look to the original.
Hoping someone might be able to shed some light here? I figured I'd ask before bothering to delicately disassemble one to find I'm wasting my time?
I have tried a search of this site to confirm, but either the search function is vague, or it cant find what I'm asking (Austrains T class)
Regards
