Perhaps it's just me, but I thought all the lines were in very fairly shabby state, most have phalaris 6' high along them, plenty have that bloody box thorn shrub. I reckon a lot of lines are just a weed and pest haven's.
A while back, when the crew were having a 'bit' of a cleanup along the Heywood line and in particular right near Mum's house, they have left big mounds of shrubbery that should have been burnt long before summer and it's still there. A while back there was another crew doing a track inspection and she asked one of the blokes what was happening with the mess and he said it was a NSW gang that was supposed to be cleaning the joint up but the budget got cut, end of story.
Anyhow do they still run weed spraying trains, have seen plenty of picture and saw this the other day, although they are more than likely spraying 24D
