Don't do anything risky. You're still two weeks off maximum effectiveness for AZ.

So now BHP have come out and joined Rio with blaming a staff shortage for their production cuts this year - though they went so far as to single out Driver's. Not unsurprising - all 4 miners rely, in some cases extensively on interstate FIFO crew for their operations, because there's not enough WA-based Driver's who want to do the job.

It would appear I'm not alone in telling work that I'll be back when McGowan pulls his head out of his asre and the border's reopen. Whodathunkit that when you close the border and demand families relocate to WA that not everyone will do it, and that'll leave a critical shortfall in staff?!? Evil or Very Mad

Got my 2nd A-Z shot this afternoon, I didn't even feel the needle going in, then I went and got a haircut, it's a weight off my shoulders to be honest with you, (not the haircut Laughing), I still can't understand why all the wild rumours about the Covid vaccines, very unprofessional by a lot of fully grown adults out there that should know better!

Plenty to be worried about if you've viewed this behind the scenes documentary about what the hair cutting industry don't want you to know.

Second AZ shot done. Also didn't even feel the needle. The second vaccine shot will show up with a different name on MyGov, but it is the same AZ shot.

Haircut on Saturday.

It’s what or is not under the hair, that gets you into trouble.

My old man is now a retired barber, between that and covid, I haven’t had a haircut in almost two years.

Cases are rising again in the United Kingdom, there have been more death's overnight there recorded since March, (223 in fact), I have read that the Govt over there MAY have to reintroduce some base line restrictions, in order to prevent another disaster.

Currently around 1000 deaths per week from Covid.  That's about 10% of all deaths in the UK to put it into context.

On another topic - hearing anecdotally of significant hospital admissions in Australia due to Pericarditis from Pfizer shots.

I've been under investigation too for the condition, although very mild and not yet confirmed.  I remain pro-vaccination but am very wary of a potential Pfizer/Moderna booster shot next year - might have to hold out for Novavax or Zydus DNA to be honest.

How about proof-of vaccine requirements? And how about keeping them in place until the full benefits of the vaccine have been reaped. By the way, the vaccines do block transmission.

I don’t have a problem with that. I think it’s only sensible as stated for Pfizer (and likely the other manufacturers) to be able to take steps to ensure quality of supply when they don’t generally have custody of supply. At the end of the day Pfizer is on the hook for any outcomes even if they have no control over the process toward that outcome, it’s only prudent for them to take steps to minimise their risk.

My boss has a problem.

He has an assistant who has said he refuses to work with anyone not vaccinated AND he has at least one person who has openly said they are refusing to be vaccinated, she’s ‘not anti vaccines, I just don’t like the idea of this one’.

Someone’s got to go.

Not an uncommon situation.

Anyway, the longer Qld and WA keep their borders shut, the more vulnerable they'll be due to the reduced efficacy of the vaccines when they are:

Mark McGowan, Dear Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of WA, might be creating a problem for WA due to his paranoia.

I've noticed a common thread in the thinking of many anti-vaxxers - a conflation of vaccine mandates with other examples of blatant Government over-reach and interference.

And it's a conflation that is largely unwarranted.

Why would someone who is not against other vaccines not like the idea of this one? We have an emergency situation with COVID-19 like we have never had with smallpox, measles or rubella.

One way for New Zealand to bring this down is to introduce vaccine passports and keep them until the full benefits are reaped, the latter including vaccinating children.
