The Andrews Govt is already kicking the can down the road and deferring several of Finkelstein's recommendations.

Crown Resorts has agreed a $8.9bn takeover from US private equity giant Blackstone, bringing billionaire James Packer a step closer to relinquishing his major shareholding in the beleaguered gaming group.

The group announced on Monday that it has entered into scheme implementation deed with Blackstone to acquire at $13.10, representing a 32 per cent premium from when takeover talks began last November.
It comes the Victorian royal commission into Crown last year recommended Mr Packer sell down his 37 per cent controlling stake in Crown to 5 per cent within two years. The billionaire, who is being advised by investment bank Moelis, did not table any objections to this, but noted any sale would come down to a matter of timing.

Blackstone are a company with little or no ethics, so Crown Casino fits with their philosophy just nicely.

They are notorious for investing in companies that are involved in Amazon Rainforest Deforestation, buying up properties and then abusing tenants, and making huge political donations for Govt favors.
