So what has been announced for us after January 2022?

I really miss the posts about what has been promised for the model railway market. So I am thinking that folk here and manufacturer (spies?) might like to post what they know is already announced with reference to where the announcement was made. What do you think? The information gained by us all could be interesting, and keep us all up to date.

#02 IDR DERM

"The DERM / MT order form is now on the IDR Models website.
Look in the shop at the top of the home page and click on the DERM /MT page.
We are finalising the tooling with a couple of corrections being completed which where missed in the design stage.
The models are expected second quarter 2022. Looking forward to them arriving."

One only needs to open this months AMRM to find a plethora of new model announcements, many of which also have the details on the manufacturers websites and/or facebook pages.
Ixion - VR MM and LL bogie livestock wagons
Casula - 4 wheel NSW rollingstock including another ABV variation, WT water gin, and S shunters float
IDR - CHS coal hoppers
Auscision - CHS coal hoppers (with bonus SSR grain hoppers), Flexivan container wagons (+ containers, and modernised versions), CLP9 in "Auscision livery" (ok, technically not announced, but it's a no-brainer)
SDS - more revamped ex-Austrains models such as the livestock 4 wheelers and some secret VR rollingstock. And the AN steel cradle wagon announced a few months back. And more variations on the NSW cowboy cars including the VUB's and RG announced a few years ago.

I'm looking forward to SDS's big push into the narrow gauge market.
QR, TGR and WAGR models are all supposed to be on the way this year in both 16.5mm and 12mm gauges.

For me, it’s SDS bringing the Victorian T class out of the Stone Age, and to a lesser extent the Y class .
Then, it’s the Auscision C and G classes. When they decide to do the 2nd and 3rd series X class, I shall declare the Austrains failure complete.
Why…………… Well, Austrains had to be dragged kicking and screaming, to implement the minimalist approach they did!with anything to do with DCC, believing it was some voodoo magic attached to some fleeting fad.
Vindication is how well SDS AND Auscision are doing currently. Trainorama…….. Rolling Eyes

Did not know the mag was out. I am one of the shrinking readers of this mag, butI think its better to see the stuff on line as soon as it happens. printed media is usually months out of date, or fails if they try and get stuff in 3 months ahead, only to find the factory slips back and the product is still months away. Despite the bad bits, I like chit chatting on Railpage Australia™. I also look forward to your posts, Poath which let us know much of what I asked here.

Victorian Railways Bogie Stock wagons  both versions LL and MM.
Used a lot on western lines between Brooklyn and Adelaide. I remember them in blocks of 4 or 6 behind the SAR grey bogie stock vans at Tottenham arriving on the afternoon 'Jet'
They frequented Wodonga as well.

Plenty has been announced since the last post in February. Just moments ago on facebook I came across the flyer for the next Casula Hobbies RTR loco, the NSWGR Z12 steam loco.

And I expect we'll see an unannounced model of NR34 in its striking new Indiginous livery sooner or later (the prototype was released to traffic today)

I swear I've looked and searched FB and their site and can't find said flyer.  Any chance you could post a link please?

I've found my interests shift to earlier times over the past couple of years and although I've got a few kits, like EZI Kits' Z16, 24 and 25, I need a Z12...or two.

This page used to supplement the more traditional publications, even a few responders in this thread contributed with frequent updates (which I highly valued)
Doesn't seem like the case anymore, this forum may have lost its relevance regarding commercial updates

I am not sure what else is coming.
With shipping in a mess, and airfreight charges through the roof... Although I did notice that Amazon has lots of space on their aircraft, and is providing the cheapest air freight into Australia, by filling their planes with non amazon freight at this time.

China is really in a mess, and I saw a few nights ago than more lock downs are being set up.

I found a new cottage industry (to me, at least) at the Albury Exhibition.

Pauls 3D prints

I purchased some log wagons which should enhance my Wodonga themed layout

SDS at the moment are receiving a lot of interest with announced South Australian, and Victorian models.

Looking forward to their K Class later this year, perhaps?

"Our first revised samples arrived recently and we had them running in Melbourne at the Easter exhibition. There are only a few details to complete and we are now looking to adopt a Kadee scale head whisker coupler as an option for the front buffer beam mounting. This will be a included component and customers will have the option of a scale non working coupler or working Kadee coupler. "

They had some samples at Diamond Creek, the VR V class and M class interested me, but the visible print lines had me on the fence. Though that steam F-class body has me interested, wonder what mechanism it's been designed for.
