I'll kick this off. Anyone want to guess where this photo was taken?
Future quizzes can be photos or suitably cryptic questions.
Regards,
Stuart

I'll show you all how little I know of Tassie by guessing wildly - approaching Railton?

I'm also going to have a rough stab at this. I say Coldwater Creek Junction on the North East line/Bell Bay line?

this is a tough one, the rails are shiny on both bits of track so it would suggest they both get some regular use. i am trying to think of places where you would have stopped etc. on your railcar tour.
this is a pretty bad guess but i am going to say mowbray junction.

A few interesting guesses so far, but nothing really close.
TR2100 was on the right track (no that isn't a clue) when he assumed I took the photo last month, although this photo was actually taken while the train was still moving.
This photo was taken on the Tuesday when DP26 travelled empty from Hobart to Burnie, and I'm standing next to the driver looking out the front of the train.
See how that lot goes for the next few days. Thats cuts it down to 350 odd kilometers to choose from . . . .
Regards,
Stuart

Ok, let start to wrap this up. The photo was taken within Western Junction yard limits, so thats somewhere between around Evandale to the crossing on the way to Perth.
If anyone can name the siding or just describe where it actually is, they can have the next question (or just the smug satisfaction of being the winner)
Regards,
Stuart

The siding into the mill just west of Western Junction. That looks like river flat and the mountains on the left.

That will do. Its had various names over the years, but at the moment its TBM Siding or sometimes Tasmanian Board Mills.
