Not wrong there chris. what i'm excited about is how good The Rock Mountain is at The Rock (that's if this route goes down that far)

Here's my unofficial update; "the route is looking great."

Will that do?

You know what I wish? I wish that some people would relax! Paynos, it'll be released when it is ready to be released, and updates are made when we feel that there is something that needs to be released. Until it is out, relax! Maybe you could use this time to read some tutorials and perhaps take the chance to give something back to the sim community.

Actually, I showed the route to a mate who spent over 40 years on the road, and he was most impressed. He described the road to me, saying which way the next curve would be as we were heading south from Harden. As a fireman from 1960, and a driver later, his experiences with the AD60s and C38s was such that he had a ball watching them in the sim. He even pointed out small details about various sidings, loops and scenery.

Ed, he loved it! I had to go back through the spiral three times!

Cheers,
Matt

The Rock mountain is in but the DEM hasnt really done it justice in distant mountain mode.
Close up (Within 2000 Meters) it looks real cool but far away it looks like a blunt blob not like the sharp pinacle that it is.

It has been stated that this version is really ony usable from Kapooka north to Harden as the great white void is encountered at the UTM line at the Albury end of kapooka loop although the track is laid to the Rock after completion of the entire route Ron will move it with routeriter to get around the GWV/UTM problem but if done earlier it will mess up the co-ordinates for the marker files and DEM, Plus it has taken a low priority due to having to build the NE broad guage from FSS to Seymour and beyond so there will be a home for the TA Vic steamies.

Dont ask as "NO there will be no standard guage on this route as its meant for VR steamies and very early 1st gen VR diesels".

The Vr Route is being built with a mind for expansion with DEM and fairly acurate positioning so there should be no trouble adding other routes as expansions later.
As Ron is a Victorian this will be almost a love affair and has been a long time in the planning.
Track is laid from FSS to Kilmore east as of tonight (Info recieved via EM)
but no scenery is in as far as structures are concerned.
When he is ready I will start a new thread on the VR project.

Cheers to all

Lipton's on the top shelf, fill yourself up a cup, and have a rest. All this "multi-route" exhilaration must be doing something to you, and it's only getting worse.
