Weekly Notice Extracts

Looking around various places, I have noticed a particular book mentioned:
Weekly Notice Extracts 1894 - 1994 Alan N. Jungwirth, Keith W. Lambert
(aka 'Jungways' after the authors)

Looking on the State Library of Victoria catalogue, they have copies of it in their reading room. It sounds like it was a limited print run, so I doubt I can go out and buy a copy. Is there anywhere else that has a copy of it to view?

Other than that, do any of the various railway archives have copies of the weekly notices themselves? (The more recent ones are produced as .pdf files, but they are not made avaliable to the public...)

When Geelong "B" box was decommissioned some years ago someone got up in the roof cavity to  cut off some wiring or other and lo and behold neatly arranged and stored between the rafters (as insulation) in stacks of 12 were bundles of Weekly Nuisances going back into the early 1930's . IIRC SRA NSW make their Weekly Nuisance available generally on the web.

I don't know what the print run was like, but it was on sale at, for example, the Railfan shop.  I believe, however, that it sold out some time ago.

I bought a new copy earlier this year - I will check my source this week to see if any are still available.

I went to the Railfan shop yesterday - they didn't have any, and the man working there didn't really know of it's existance...

It's my understanding that the last new ones from the publisher were sold at one of the early ARHS Swap Meets at the church near Gardiner station. This would be getting on for at least 5 or 6 years ago now. They were certainly available from the Railfan Shop when new. As to where else they may be available have you tried the ARHS NSW bookshop? or any of the other interstate equivalents? Victorian stuff may sell a bit slower interstate.

As for Weekly Notices themselves:

I think in the past both the ARHS Archives and Library had full or close to full sets (but not accessible at the moment?)

Their membership does give you a subscription to Newsrail as well - it's something I have been meaning to do...
