The latest screenshots are on UKTrainSim:

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?t=65293&start=15

I'm putting them up on UKTS, rather than here on RPA, simply because I have been a long-time member of UKTS and find it easier to place screenshots in the Atomic Album.

More to come later!!!

Hi Brian,
I just wondered if you are going to include the old Otford Tunnel and/or the original line that goes where the current road goes at Coal Cliff and the bits that were chopped out of the line between Helensburgh and Waterfall that were put in to bypass the old Otford tunnel. The old Otford tunnel had a bad reputation because it was steep and the drivers of trains going to Sydney used to open the throttles before the tunnel and open the fish plates (located on the footplate) and breath through those in order to survive because of all the smoke the engines created. Thats why the tunnel was eventually bypassed.

Hello David,

Yes, I am including a few 'scenic cameos' for the old abandoned tunnels along the line, you just have to look for them through the 'lineside treescape' as you pass by, as they are very overgrown with trees and shrubs and the tunnel mouths blocked up.

Great job BrianB. I love what you are doing. I really like the viaduct near Stanwell Park! Clap

Another bit of feedback :-

A couple of weeks ago, I put out the unfinished Beta to two of the most respected Aussie MSTS route authors - one of them is a current locomotive driver.

He showed it to another driver who used to drive the Illawarra Line.

I'll let his words speak!!!

Quote

"Hi Brian, How this for a good test.
Tonight I had one of our new trainees over and showed him your route.
12 months ago he was based at Enfield as a driver and he was gob smacked at how well you captured the whole route.
Just thought that I would pass this on as I consider it the Ultimate
compliment from a driver that used to travel this route.
Cheers (name hidden to protect the guilty)".

Unquote.

Sticks my chest out a bit!!!

Great News!!!

'Northern Illawarra Version 1.0 - Waterfall to Wollongong' has - gone 'GOLD'

The CD with the route Master was posted to UKTS this morning.

Should be available in a couple of weeks when the UKTS team has created the installer and checked that it all complies with their standards.
