So, MGH™, Any ideas what the new design is going to look like yet?

It would be nice to have the option to have individual themes but then that's not really something that's required but could be placed in as an afterthought to give the end product a little more appeal.

I think luckily that since Railpage Australia™ has such a varied crowd, Many of them would like to bring something different to the product and would be willing donate time and help.

(Edited out something relevant to the original thread this was in)

I'm working on the UI design now (and have been for several months, in fact), but what it turns out like will depend on what features are requested Smile

What about using Internet 2.0, the version that doesn't need user input to function?

Is there any particular solutions out there that may work with minimum of fuss but with all the features needed?

BTW, I'd be happy to lend a hand if need be testing and such ... I tend to have a lot of spare time during my overnight smeg ... I mean shifts Smile

I think it's safe to say... no.

Basically.

There are a heap of solutions out there that combine forums with galleries, wikis, etc, but none of them integrate properly with eachother. Basically, if we used one of these solutions we'd end up exactly where we are now Smile

Another little thing I'd think would be cool, Perhaps different themes should be implimented, such as also having Semaphores instead of 'Automated Signals' (sic) (Those showing whether a forum has new posts, locked, etc)

I'd like to see some kinda cool GUI (with options varying depending on the end users decision) but if this is too difficult, The current appearance is sufficient

I guess this is nerdsville so if I can't speak or read the lingo I should not dare to step in.

I sort of deduced UI might mean user input. However, GUI has me stumped.

i wouldnt
think overheads...
the site will handle more users faster with a small footprint than with a big flashy gui that only a few can fully enjoy with their $5k machines and massive fibreoptic cable !

May be young'n'dumb, yet unlike some, I've heart!
