You may be interested to know that the Chaser actually met whilst at law school, Roscoe.

Fine, you might not like 'em, but a helluva' lotta' people do. Myself included. Better than most of the crap on the idiot box these days...

But that just says how low the standards have fallen. Everything these days is a reality show, some celebrities dancing/singing/whatever or some half-baked comedy sketch.

And throw in a couple of TV tabloids for good measure so everyone can benefit from wonderfully truthful and unbiased reporting.

Hardly half-baked, gboaf. It's one of the best shows around, if not, THE best.

Must be a generation thing I guess.

Carmen Lawrence was smart in having nothing to do with them and their NSW 'sense of humour'. Take it off ABC and stop wasting our taxes.

Actually, they all have law degrees, having studied law at Sydney Uni. That's were they met and became friends, and then later formed the Chaser.

Impressive, considering you need 99.6 at Sydney Uni.

While I find a few of their pranks a bit vile, they've got quite a few clever ideas and are worth watching.

The Chaser is my fav show, but i must say that is has started to go downhill since it started.
It began with much more actual satire, and they did things that usually had a valid point. Now with the new fan base of 'everyone' they've lowered their standard to match the viewers (so to speak) - so instead of the 'meaningful satire' they used to do (which may be lost on some people), they've become public nuisances and silly pranksters, much of their 'pranks' are now just that, 'pranks'.
Oh, and it doesnt help that so many people recognise them now half the stuff they do isnt quite as funny as it could be lol

I went to high school with one of them, and he was always right at the top academically. His lack of respect for others seems unaltered since then.

Hi,

Why do morons like this have to disrupt other Cityrail Comuters in their ignorance???

If i was one of those other Comuters i would have gone and given him one in the head.

Kindest regards,

John

Go, John! Having a piece of paper from a university gives no-one the right to intrude on the privacy of others, even when that privacy is proscribed by a public place. There used to be Laws governing the behaviour of passengers on public transport - but that may have been only in Victoria. Sydney is another country ... Upper class hooliganism is still hooliganism!

I must admit The Chaser are getting silly...

When they first started they were funny and made a point.

Now they just do stuff because people want to see them do silly stunts.

Roscoe, nice to see you sympathise with people who make posts of this calibre: http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11331669.htm ...

Y'all just jealous you don't have the guts to go out in public and make a fool of yourselves! Cool
