Kellogs Sustain Ad...Dangerous actions?

I just saw an ad for Kellog's Sustain. It had a race between two people through the city, one who ate "Sustain" and the other who ate another "competing brand". The bit that I noticed was that the bloke who ate "Sustain" jumped into the train as the doors were closing, which CityRail prohibits and the bloke who ate the "competing brand" slammed into the doors of the train, while the train was speeding up.
Isn't it prohibited to show an advertisement showing unsafe actions?

smeg off!!!

No one really cares. It's an ad and if it is filmed on Railcorp premises, it would have been done under supervison.

What the smeg does it matter anyway?

Easy does what gw???

Tell me you too think it is acceptable to make slanderous remarks in a public forum?? The thread was a total fabrication, which unfortunately the gullible believe without checking the facts.

I'm surprised some CityRail staff member hasn't decided that they have had enough, and decide to start reducing the smeg who use CityRail while complaining all the time.

If you don't like CityRail, piss off and walk or drive.

He is a troll of the worst kind. A trouble maker who thinks nothing of slagging off decent staff who are just doing their jobs.

Best if you went back to where ya came from now mubd. I don't believe you are a child, just acting that way.

edited, but who cares anyway?

I was trying to work out what station(s) and what types of trains were used in the ad.

But the ad could put on the bottom of the screen as the add is going something like 'Cityrail advises that it is dangerous to run for closing doors, always stay behind the yellow line'. In the similar style to the alcohol add, where they state at the bootm to 'enjoy alcohol responsibly'.

Looked to me remarkably like Olympic Park and a S set to me. Olympic Park seems to get featured a bit in ads from memory.
As a side note, there's another ad going around (some dental care product I think) shot at St James with a guy getting on a S set then cuts to a shot of him on a T set... I think this may have already been discussed though in another thread.

Must be because there aren't that many trains that run there (frequency), and there isn't exactly a busy platform for passengers.

I'm not entirely sure, but IIRC just last month there was a big debate over some banned ads which had young kids driving family-sized cars.

I suppose it depends what you term as "unsafe" as well, but the best place to ask that question would be FACTS, etc. as 574M said.

As for the ad itself, it certainly sounds like it depicts dangerous actions, but whether it promotes those actions as acceptable or allowed is a different matter. I have not seen the ad in question personally, but I'd say the ad isn't too harmful. I don't think people are stupid enough to repeat in reality what they see in TV advertisements (the smart Chaser boys do a superb and rather funny job in their Ad Road tests but that is another matter altogether).

No the dangerous actions aren't that dangerous because the most dangerous thing to my memory is the man running through the doors which weren't closed at Olympic Park then when the other guy got down the stairs, the doors were closed.

Thats the whole reason I eat Weet-Bix. No need to fuss with all these ads with "competing brands" giving me ideas I can run through train doors before they close.

I just get to watch cricketers eat their weight in shredded wheat and milk...

Did you see 'This is filmed under strict supervision and preparation. Please do not try this at home’ or something like that at the bottom corner of the ad in small print? I think I saw this in another ad featuring dangerous stunts.
