Hi all, was just curious about 3112's movements (or any of the ARHS-ACT locos for that matter) for the next few weeks, specifically next weekend (9-11), as I'll be down that way visiting in-laws...if anyone could help out that would be excellent.

Note: I did visit the website, didn't find any info in this regard. If I've missed it on the site I'd be happy to be shown as well.

3112 isn't doing anything at the moment. 1210 is still having boiler work done (hopefully finished tomorow), 3016 is out of action due to the fire danger. The 73s could be going to Bungendore on the 3rd sunday, I'm not sure though.

No movements planned (that I'm aware of) for 3112, 3016 or 1210 on that day\weekend.

3112 is still sitting in dry storage on the Brambles siding, inaccessible unless your good with dogs. Unlikely to move because of the fire danger.

3016 is out of traffic for the summer fire season and is undergoing maintenance.

1210 is still undergoing work as part of its tone up.

There is a Railroad Restaurant train to Bungendore on the evening of the 10th and a train to the spring fair @ Bungendore on the 11th, but these will be 73 class jobs.

Enjoy your stay in Canberra.

Cheers

Are you blokes looking after 3112 now? Hope someone who knows what they are doing is. Be a shame to see the loco just sit there.

22nd November can't come quick enough...

1210 hadn't gone out of the NSW & ACT Rails since the 2005 150th Celebartions of NSW Railways.

We really don't have anything to do with it. When the doubleheader to Tarago took place, one of the locomotives caretakers from its previous arrangement came down and did the work on it and traveled with it (with a ARHS crew). It only entered CRM for use of the pit.

Half Correct. It was under repair for the first half of last year, ran a number of local trips on the MTR June through to October 2006 and hasn't run since due to the need for a tone-up, which is near completion.

You'd have to ask the owner or the RTM.

Cheers mate, though I'll be knocking about with the sisters-in-law. So yeah. Hence why I enquired about a bit of gunzelling Rolling Eyes Is 3112 at least visible from a "legal" public viewpoint?

Yup, you can get a good clear side on view of her from ARHS side of the fence.

Im guessing there is no chance of 3112 making a visit to Hunter Valley Steamfest in 2008?
I'll have to try and get in contact with the Steamfest Chairman.

Not sure at this stage, also it's still up in the air in terms of which operator will be asked to do it still.

Anyhow thanks muchly to the lads on Saturday for letting myself and the Mrs. have a look, will post some pics soon.

To answer my question in the first post:

Here she is:

Coaled up like that she looks like she's heading out to Cessnock almost...
