Are you sure its from South Creek?
The creek is closer to Werrington station than Stmarys, and the smell seems to linger mostly around the city end of the platform.
(unless we've experienced a different StMarys odour than the one you're talking about )

I wonder if the sewage smell had migrated from St Marys?
(St Marys had a problem with a mysterious smell near the station, which popped in and out a few times in the past year or so (?). Been in the local papers many times. I write this so you know I wasn't just ragging on the town.)

Why wouldn't that surprise me? Apparantly the block I'm in had a similar "issue" about a year after being built ... sewerage came out the front lawn and flooded some of the ground floor apartments - great quality workmanship.

| I see what you were talking about when you mentioned the shot of 8101 today - a very different "night" photo to be sure! Love the number lights showing out in the gloom! | |

Hehehe, that would be hilarious as to why the railways ain't up ot scratch.
"How come the first train of the day derailled monday morning"
"Ahhh, we were gunzelling during the weekend......."
Jks
Nice photos in the end. Interesting shot of 8101. Cheers for the the weekly update of shots in times of trackwork (probably the only thing I like about it. Buses from Ashfield = 50 mins to Central pffft...I want the trains to come back )
Cheers Greg | |

As we inspected the site on Saturday morning a few jokes about a "Bog Hole" taking new meaning were thrown about, and dont forget the "paperwork".
