Interesting. 1210s driving wheel centres are stamped "Eveleigh 1920" and "Siemens 1915"(!)
Would the NSWGR and ze Germans use the same process? |

No, but we are seriously looking at options ranging from new wheels to welding (as has been done on many other wheelsets in the past).
Has it been cosidered to Metal Stiching them?

In NSW alone in the last few years has seen SMR10, SMR 18, 3526, 3642, 3237 and 5917 return to operation.

The colour/amount of smoke depends alot on the firemans ability to keep a clean fire - may be a little hard to do with an automatic stoker as fitted to an AD60.

4807 and 4403 were used last year along with GM36. Problem being the 48'er detached at Goulburn, could have well been used for the entire journey.
A typo there- 4821 was the loco concerned.
