It would be much easier for people from places like Kapunda, Eudunda, Truro and surrounding areas to drive to Nuriootpa than drive to Gawler to catch a train to Adelaide.

Last regular passenger train on this line ran on Saturday 13 December ...

15 - Only one class of steam locomotive and railcar that travelled to this destination ever made it to Adelaide.

3801 in 1988 and the Silver City Comet cars in 1987??? (could have been '89).

The November/December 1977 issue of AMRM has an article covering the 930 Class locos. It has plans of both the single ended and double ended 930s + Lots of photos.
