Hi all and a happy new year.

How far north does Linfox use rail please?

Sightings back over the 100 per week but see the grain activity being cool.

The Washington to New York route is a very well supported route on Amtrak but not sure it is the highest patronage. There some some shorter routes out of Chicago which might also be high use.

Are thee plans to extend this past the June 2020 timeframe due to some companies already starting to make a move to road off rail.

Any timeframe for reopening?

Amazed those large volumes of petroleum goes via road and nothing on rail.

Is this by choice of the importer or they don’t like rail?

A shutter was based at Yarraville for briquette shunting I was once told.

As with carrington and Port Pirie Mackay should be added the list of rail accessible ports on dock.

Is petroleum imported via Mackay port and is rail used?

Is Townsville also on dock rail?

The real problem or issue is the entire January period timetable is too light and in need of more trains. Lily dale trains this week packed with people hard to get on at Melbourne central.

Fast rail should be a national priority for Australia starting with SYDNEY Canberra and melbourne adelaide to benefit western Victoria.

Why not deploy more trains using this method across the country.

Port Pirie has on wharf standard gauge connected.

Only 7 vehicles on what was meant to be the final service.

Goes to show the train is not worth retaining in its current form.

My view now is myki is a good system working well and easy to use and available on all forms of transport I use in Melbourne. I see no reason why it should or need be replaced for years to come.
