We have the right location.  Photo taken in 1986, late afternoon on a drive back to Perth on the Albany Highway.  All history now.

That's right, was a crossing loop.


Walliabup was also the temporary junction for double to single track working during the time that the Sg was being converted to double dual  in 1984. ...

The unusual track layout gave it away. As I recall there was a similar configuration at Wialki, that is, until it was removed a few years ago. I will leave the floor open to whoever wants to post.
