i think it was more the Interface looked similar to copy righted material, (the destination indicators on the platform) but this is a wild stab in the dark

This most likely was because of the trackwork on the Bankstown line.

Greg wasn't another reason (though i think this was false) that they do station skipping in order to make sure that the crews don't go over the shifts or something like that?

Some R sets are 3+3, but the majority still seem to be 4+2. WinkI'll stand corrected on that. Was sure that a while back (years lets say) the C sets were reduced in size to alleviate the failure ...
