That's not going to help speed up the suburban lines then Sad At least it'll give the local lines a boost hopefully...

Mt Druitt (i assume) and St Marys still use them. They are 2 of the busiest stations in the Sydney network without electronic PIDs yet.

Not sure about Rhodes, but...

Other passengers use magnetic tickets? Just like they do today. Those tickets will still be around for years, even after Opal is around.

Excellent idea! Highly supportive of this. I'm tired of the morning crawl to Wynyard every morning...I hope it does have an improvement on the flow of trains.

Have all the 6-car R-sets been replaced then? Surely they wouldn't get rid of the S-sets before this happens.

You can't turn or commence 20tph from Emu Plains. I was more thinking split this between Emu Plains, Penrith, Springwood and Blacktown. Starting perhaps 4tph from Blacktown would allow for 4tph to run ...
