That's not going to help speed up the suburban lines then Sad At least it'll give the local lines a boost hopefully...

Mt Druitt (i assume) and St Marys still use them. They are 2 of the busiest stations in the Sydney network without electronic PIDs yet.

4 months? Can you count?

While unpleasant for staff and passengers stuck in the thick of it, at least it seemed to be a very 'orderly' delay. Every line just seemed to grind to a halt at almost ...

Have all the 6-car R-sets been replaced then? Surely they wouldn't get rid of the S-sets before this happens.

Interesting video! Fast forward 17 years, whats changed? Not much...70 services on the Cumberland line cut back to 5.

Looks like Granville to me, but I'm not sure...

You can't turn or commence 20tph from Emu Plains. I was more thinking split this between Emu Plains, Penrith, Springwood and Blacktown. Starting perhaps 4tph from Blacktown would allow for 4tph to run ...

The points on the East Hills line at Turella are nice, fast ones (70km/h I think?). They go both ways. Pre-2005, there were trains that used to come from East Hills, travel via the inner lines and the ...

Most cautions don't usually cause delays, but the one on the up suburban between Strathfield and Burwood has been delaying the Western line trains by about a minute, which does make a difference. Ther ...
