NSW is simply broke.
You can fix the problem by either
1/ Increasing State Taxes by large amounts.
2/ Selling everything that the Govt still owns.

Which would you prefer.

The current government is clearly in trouble but somehow I don't see Barry O'Farrell doing much better.

maybe next state election should be a referendum on a new federalism - i.e chuckin the states ...

There may of been a plan well after WW2 to extend it, but it was defiantly not built anymore than a military line. In fact it was built under Chapter 51 (xxxii) of the Australian Constitution in 1941- ...

Ahh, perhaps passing a law is easy, but getting everyone (upper and lower house) to agree on a bill and have it passed through state parliament, is not quite so simple.
