G'Day all, after a long absence from the market I now have the GY tarpaulins back in stock. These are resign cast, painted in four different colours and weathered and come in packs of 4 for $36 or 12  ...

I use Modelflex/Accuflex Burlington Norethern Green with a couple of drops of black in it.

Yellow I use the same paint in Boxcar yellow

Crimson I use the Light Oxide Red.

Have you checked to make sure the wheels in the pass car bogies are not rubbing? Check each wheel individually.

The 45 has an Atlas RSD4/5 mech which should easily handle this, they are a great powerful model. Do you have grades? How flat is your track?

There is some nice NN3 stuff being done via rapid prototyping, including some bogies, however I think they still use Microtrains wheels.

 

I'd tend to go the Japanese route and use normal 9mm track ...

Seriously modern N sale runs as well as HO, has similar levels of detail (and a lot is cast on, so doesn't get broken off!) and is growing in popularity.
