Platform 18 is also used for peak Blue Mountain services IIRC.

For the ESR/Illawara trains that are running late, and go around the City Circle, which platforms would it use?

I assume it'd use Platforms 17, 20, or 21 bu ...

I wonder just how much the actual "weight" of the overhead would be. IIRC, it was 0.98Kg per meter of "contact wire" and it would be pretty close to that for the current wire too.

It wouldn't make sense for them to start on the ESR, as they will have problems and it'd be logical to start the trains on a quieter line.
