the MKAs will apparently only be coming over in dribbs and drabs when they can fit them on the boat. they could start coming any time from tomorrow to when the victorian reliance comes back into service.

hey i am not going to commit to a day mate, all i am saying is that they could come any time. perhaps 4705-44201NB could let us know if one or two disappear from the docks in melbourne.

oh ok, sorry u seemed to know a bit about what was happening i thought u may have worked near there or somehting....

ok well, they arrived this morning.

about 5 mins after i posted yesterdya i got a message saying they would be in on wednesday morning, but they turned up this morning on the boat, and the bogies etc will be fitted tomorrow.

sorry Z1, looks like you should have headed down this morning.

ok so i dont know when they will be transported to launceston but they have to have traction control and some other stuff done to them before they are going to start running... i guess that means a fresh coat of paint too Very Happy

they are on "floats"? and the bogies are being fitted tomorrow morning. i assume not long after that is all sorted out they will be transported to launceston because they need a bit of work done on them as far as tractioin control and all that goes.

last i heard they were being stored near the bulk handling area.

Just a wee update. All three were checked very carefully by the big bosses. Then they were shifted to the quick fix to have a underneath check. Then they will be stored in the old EBR workshops over night. So tasrail2100 you might well see them tomorrow after all!.
There will be another thread(i hope) from Stuart with some of my pics.
