It isn't Ropes Creek.

The line where this station is situated has never been electrified.

Not Boree Creek either Chris.

The flood was caused by a creek, which is named after another station on the same line, but "Creek" does not form part of the location name, and neither that of the station that the creek that caused the flood is named also.

Boy that sounds confusing.

There is a coal stage in one of the photos. The photos showing the water tanks tipped over is part of the barracks that the gangers and sometimes drivers stayed at.

I'll be back early tonight.

Regards,

Daniel

Byrock?

BTW, I didn't think the "creek" was necessarily part of the name, but if I could figure out which creek it was, we'd be a lot closer to getting the location. S'all good though right?

I dont know creeks very well unfortunately, I'm basing my guesses on the track layout and the station building and what looks like a goods platform etc.

I havent actually been there, but Bomaderry/Nowra?

Incidentally, this flood was caused by a creek that has a station named after it, but the location shown isnt necessarily that station, is it, it could be further up the same line?

The above statement is correct. Technically, the station which is named after the creek, is down from the location.

All other guesses so far, have been incorrect.

Clue:

If the main western line was used to divide NSW in two, this location would be on the northen side.

No, it isn't Wee Waa.

Clue: The location is on a branch line

Okay - It cant be a terminus, as it is up from the station with the creek name.

It is north of the Main West, and presumably not on the main west itself.

It has never been electrified

It is single line, with a station, small barracks, coal stage (though that looked more like a water tower without a tank to me), what looks like a goods platform.

Its on a branch - there are 10 terminating branches that I can see in the area you've mentioned. This is not including closed lines.

Flooded by a creek, not a river.

I'm just about to run out of ideas.

Trangie?
