As of right now? No. Not as far as I know. In the future? Who knows?

That is correct.
There is no log traffic on rail at all.
Pity as there is bucket loads to be had!!

just out of interest , was talking to a log truck driver the other day about cartage costs ,it was quite interesting.
he's employed as a driver,drives a near brand new b double and works for a small cartage firm near stanley.
he was saying that after all costs were taken into account eg truck repayments,driver wages,rego etc that the profit from each trip was a staggering $38.00 dollars .
so you could nearly say that they cart for nothing, therefore the rail has no hope of trying to cart logs again. why would you! no money in it
again going on what he said was correct...

And as my Pop drove a log truck for many many years, i'm pretty sure you can only do a number of loads per day so that would restrict them even further..

Quick answer.......NO
To be a bit more informative, PNT pulled the plug on the log traffic when they had the motive power crisis. They haven't bothered to try and get it back (which they could do if they wanted, as truck transport is against Norske Skog environmental policy)

There is 2 ways i can answer this.
Burnie is still manned. So there couldn't be a last manned station in Tasmania.
If you really want a last manned station, i reckon any of the Hobart suburbs, Derwent Park station before it fiery death or Bridgewater before demolition.

Can anyone help me with this photo I took in 1986 ??? I think it was somewhere on the west coast. It wasn't at a museum, definately on a siding somewhere.

Or the SP could be at National Park. I can't really recall where at Tullah the SP actually was or what the topography was like

The SP at Tullah was in a driveway next to a house. It looks like SP6 at National Park.
