saturday night i was fortunate enough to whitness one of the biggest trains i have seen in tasmania since moving here 10 years ago.

it was Z - ZA - Z - ZA - ZA, all 5 locos were working out of devonport, where upon leaving the train had 70+ wagons and weighed in at over 2000 tonnes. there was hardly an empty slot on the entire train.

the EE's sounded very impressive up through kimberley.

Yeah was talking to gh this morning and he told me that the last 2 ZA came off the coal train cause there was a small technical problem with two locos.
Also he told me that either this week or next 2 MKAs will be on the coal train too.
