Okay, the new, improved (and resurrected) Qld "Where is it?" thread...

IMG_0066 (Railpage Image Gallery)

This is taken at a reasonably remote spot, so i'll give a clue straight up... North West Qld...

I'll scan something and post it tonight. If someone wants to jump in now I'll wait until later for my turn ...

The line there looks rather well used, for a branch which was seen as a bit of a white elephant and didn't carry much traffic for a long time.

I thought you would get it fairly quickly John!

Buffer stop at Forsayth, September 1993. Early morning just before departure back toward Cairns on mixed. What a trip that was!

Over to you Smile

cheers,
Colin

Hehe.... here's why...

jm_foy0395 (Railpage Image Gallery)

/me wonders if that is a time record for a correct answer on a "where is it" quiz.

David has it bang on.... "amuse you", he says.... at least it took *two* guesses to get this one. I might have to go back to posting buffer stops. Crying or Very sad

I didn't get the exact date, but it's October/November 1995. It was the last train of the day, (on the approach to Kunkala) with very few passengers, so no heads poking out of windows. Not good for the ARHS coffers, but as far as realism (is there anything in this photo to indicate 1995?) it was brilliant...

Over to you, David...
