Well after seeing Matthew Austin D3, I have decide to show you guys what he had to work with. As you can see Matt has done an excellent job in changing the loco around.

In the pics that follow, it shows two versions of the C30t, a saturated and superheated version, along with two tender versions, a 6 & 8 wheeler.

The superheated version

The saturated version

The 6 wheel tender

The 8 wheel version

For the Superheated Version the numbers are
3016 (1960's while at Cowra loco)
3016 (modern version ARHS Canberra)
3122 (1960's while at Cowra loco)

Saturated Version
3102 (1980's ARHS Canberra)
some more numbers later.

Before the 48, this was the branch line king.

Last night i got C30t into the sim, and i was pleased with how it turned out. It's almost finished, just needs some tweaks to the model and then adding the weathered effect to the texture.

I also got the tender into the sim today, so i took some snaps of it.

It should be sent of to the beta test this weekend with 3016, 3122 (1960's) and maybe even the modern 3016 with 8 wheel tender.

Ian,
I haven't got the route working yet but it should be working by Monday.
Is the 41 still on your backburner?

Looking good Gavin - not rusty at all (yet) Smile

- at least you've got yours almost working, that D50 still has a way to go yet.

Looking good, Gavin. You've set a standard that I'll have to work hard to even approach with the D3.

Cheers,

The weathered effect on my locos, have been put on hold, because I have to re map parts, and I really can’t be bothered to do them now. Other news is that 3122 popped up into the sim last night, so I took a pic of it, along with 3016 after some addition to it.

Front on of 3122

The crew of 3016 look very annoyed with 3122 getting all the attention

Matt you will not have to work hard to match my so called standard, it's pretty basic my stuff

The superheated versions are as good as done, with just some very small problems left to be solved. The response from the beta testers has been promising, with only some small areas that needed to be addressed.

I would like to get the saturated version out ASAP, but these days I don’t have much time at all to play MSTS. So this means that this version will take some time to be released.

Well it has been just over 1 year since i first posted this topic, but due a computer crash and other things, the C30t's are back. Just looking at those original photos makes me glad I re made them, because they looked crap.

Any way, I’ve done 99% of the model, in both superheated and saturated versions as before. I should have them upload to Railpage Australia™ in a couple of weeks.

Thanks must also go to Paul Gausden for allowing me to use his skins again.

3016, 1 of 4 superheated versions being made (3008, 3009, 3016, 3122)

Is it just me or is the headlight floating on those two pics? Other then that, they're absolutely superb!

Will you put these fantastic looking locos up for downloading?
I hope you do, on either Train-sim or Steam4me or do your own download site.
You have done a exelent job & very artistic, well.

Sorry guys, i know it has been a while. Things have happened and getting them released isn't really a priority for me, but they should be released one day.
