Amazing work by Mr. Anon again. I take it that the 47's packed it in for good on the Main South, thus the decision to go back to a simpler time?

When you speak to him next, tell him to keep up the great work. I know how tough it will be to make Junee look like the prototype and keep the object count down. I'm up around 1300 with some of the tiles around Dubbo.

Mr. Anderson... surprised to see me?

What can one say? Outstanding!

There are many talented modelers and route builders out there.
Mr. Anon is most certainly one of these talented people.

Need more training

Due to one of those 47s derailing at Harden the Southern Aurora is running REAL late.

SA_Gap (Railpage Image Gallery)

The time is 9am and the Aurora still has some 300 miles to go.
I was lucky to catch this shot as it was crossing the Olympic Hwy at the Gap just south of Cootamundra.

What was the 47 doing on the Aurora in the first place?!?!?! Wink

Great shot Ed. Looking forward to seeing more of the route as time goes on. I'll be heading to Cootamundra in a few weeks, so this thread has been great for whetting the appetite.

Tell Mr. Anon he's doing great work when you speak to him next.

Hey Big Ed,

I like the effect of the headlight on the 422 class. By coincidence I was muking around with ARG2202 yesterday trying to get the same effect. I used a single centre light on high instead of 2 separate lights. Did you do the same ?

Hi Chris the 47 was heading a goods off the central western division from Cowra
and derailed all over the junction at Harden.
By the time the Junees brownhoist 50 ton crane made it to the scene and cleared the down line well you know the rest.

As to the lights they are the Team Alcos 422 classes with no modifications its just that i havent applyed the light FX mod to msts yet this is why the headlight looks so big.

cheers Biged

Just yesterday the Junee district Superintendant a Mr Ron Anon says to me, Ed you did such a good job testing those wretched 47 classes so I will give you a new driving assingment.
Go to Cootamundra and bring back the Intercapital daylight with one of those newfangled 43 classes.
well after my last experience with a hybrid loco i wasn't looking forward to it but I said i would give it a go.

4306_The_Gap (Railpage Image Gallery)

I must admit it handled like a dream but as its a new loco you come to expect this.
Im sure we will see more of these on the Great Southern railway in times to come.

The Inter-Collapsible looks great behind the 43. It looks right at home of the Main South. I don't think they got out west very much at all, which probably why the 47's stayed out there for the first ten years of their lives.

Ed, please, make sure you pass my sincere admiration of Mr. Ron Anon's work along, he's doing an astounding job!! Well Done

Hey BigEd,

Could you pass on to Ron Anon, that the route is looking great, especially with a 43 class !

Now I don't want to sound like a Gimme Pig, but could you ask Mr Anon if the 43 is going to be released please? This was one of my favourite loco's, I remember my eyes were drawn to the headlight so I would know if it were a 43 or 44. If I couldn't see the front, I'd look for the square windows down the side.... I could dribble on reminising back when I was a wee lad 30 - 35 years ago, looking out from the classroom window at Canterbury Boys High, but nobody wants to read it.

I'd really like to see a few more screen shots of the 43 if possible. I don't have anything against the 47 class - but I guess we all have our favourites !
