do we know if 32 turned up at Burnie with the only the D's, if not what loco did they take off (2101 was leading north on Sunday).

And do we know if they added a loco to 31 at WJ, if so what one ?

Regards
Steve W

The northbound paper train (#32) last night was D/ZP/D and 40 loaded wagons, including a number (~12-15) of 40' boxes, with the rest being mainly loaded paper modules. It may be that the 40' boxes were detached at Western Jcn along with the ZP for forwarding to Bell Bay, while #32 continued to Burnie with the D's. Steve W commented that a similar movement occurred a couple of weeks ago. Was there any evidence of the load in Burnie, or had it all been put away/unloaded by the time you saw it?

Cheers,
Brett

I did see the load, the "norm" pine wagons then the rest, the last wagon just near the spur line to Brambles terminal, well i suppose its called Toll siding now. But the load also had what looked like paper as part of the load.

The question was really whether there were any 40' boxes in the load. Presumably not - all three locos were labouring pretty heavily through Tea Tree last night so there's no way the two D's would have managed it by themselves, especially with the extra empty pine wagons as well. Maybe these were also added at WJ?

Cheers,
Brett

Well there was a stack of them in Toll yard, so i reckon 40' boxes was part of the load.
Ok i found out that yesterday that the train was small.Thats why they had 2 Ds on it. This morning the train had DQ2012 in the middle of the 2 Ds.

Time to dig up an old thread... everything has been fairly standard of late so not much use for this one!

Anyway, Quad DQ's on 31 today

Followed from Westbury to Western Junction. Funny how its been clear skies and sunny weather right up until the day I decide to take photos...

Gee i haven't seen a quin DQ train for a while. I wonder why the "standard" D/ZP/ZR loco wasn't on the paper train.
