DV1 still looks the same as i seen it only a few weeks ago in Burnie. Its livery could now be called ATN maroon(pink?) with "cement grey" highlights

Wrong sort of weathering though, be a bit different if we were talking about ZP2100 however. That is the best weathered locomotive in Tasmania

Seen Z2111-Z2112 here at Burnie station, running a ballast train, probably out Penguin way.
If its still there, i'll grab a quick pic
Some photos to enjoy
The ballast train
A new name already?
And, the old girl, 2150 acting like a steam train. Sounds like its not running on all 6 cylinders

I have been wondering where the missing two links of the z/za combo were, this mornings train into Hobart was DQ-D-DQ-Z-ZA-ZA-MKA

Seen Z2111-Z2112-ZA2116-Z2110 in the quick fix here in Burnie. There is rarely a set of locos in Burnie on a Monday morning.

I thought that I heard a group of EE's hauling Staurday's 35 as well. 135 on Sunday had a MKA, MKA, QR,MKA, DQ, DQ, D combo hauling the usual 35 loading and the empty papertrain from Saturday Morning. Had around 16 loaded and 20 mt's on it.
What is of interest Damo is that the Z/ZA combo hauled a train 235 south on Monday night which means a 136 came up on Sunday. Been a long time since there was a 236 and a 235 running.
235 had a massive load of 1 loaded wagon and around 30 mt's. Going by the unusal train movements and the large amount of mt's heading south it looks like the normal loading going out of Bell Bay is coming to Burnie, but the freight coming in to Bell Bay is going by truck.
Unless they were in fact hauling a very very very late running 231
Anyone heard if this is what is happening???

Some images i took on last Friday. Burnie had some great weather on this day. The loco on show is Y2151
I cropped this image.
Busy doing morning shunting
Toll ship in the background. How long will it be only trucks carrying container freight around Tasmania?
Enjoy, for all lovers of the belovered Y class EEs

I am pretty sure Two Trains will be coming around 8:30-9:00,
Nathan
Remember,
The light at the end of the tunnel could very well be an on-comming train!
