Unfortunately Ex-EBR steam locomotive No. 8 died yesterday, again leaving DRR with no operational steam locomotives. I am not sure how serious a problem it is but hopefully the situation will be fixed by next Sunday!

On a more positive note, ALCo 866 has its new batteries etc and is back on the rails...

I think that is it a different problem this time, but my technical knowledge on, well pretty much anything, is limited!

I went down to the Inveresk museum today, seeing as I was there to print some work off I thought I might as well run around with the camera for a bit and take advantage of the good weather...

ZC32 hasn't moved for months... still no idea on that situation.

Unfortunately, most of the steam locomotives haven't moved for months either...

The Dubs is the closest, just some problms with the springs, not sure if this is a result of a minor derailment they had in the yard a couple of weeks ago.

ZC32 is still at DRR, took this pics this arvo.

And some pics inside the workshops, been years since i have been in there!
Don't know if this is CCS23's boiler. I notice this loco is still there, with fresh paint on its wheels.

M4 with works still continuing

I wonder if this carriage is LP2?. Looks like it

SSD getting a new roof.

And last is a sign board that was used in the last great steam adventure here in tassie, The TGR Centenary, 1971

Enjoy Wink

Cheers Z1. I dropped in today and they were removing the trailing truck, presumably to get better access to the rack gear.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I thought I would update everyone about the Dubs.

For the past couple of weeks we have been having trouble with the injectors and after the Anniversary weekend the decision was made to take it out of service a week early, as it is due to come out of service at the end of the month to get it's boiler ticket renewed. So now we're left without an operational steam loco, though we probably wouldn't have been able to run steam through the summer anyway due to fire bans.
