Gidday,
Recently I have seen a Walker Railcar in a Photo at the Zeehan Railway Station.
Not sure when the photo was taken but would like to know if this was a one off, or were Walker Railcars used extensively in Tasmania.

Can anybody give me any info on this please?

Regards,

Wilfy 2007

The Emu Bay Railway had the only one. They bought it in 1940 and came from the UK. Its main use ceased in 1961, but lingered on until being scrapped in the 1960s

The TGR favoured Comeng bodies for their contemporary vehicles, although with the same Drewry 6L3 motor

Was it scrapped Stuart? I thought it is still around, as a shack of all things, down the West Coast.

I don't know if it still exists or not. Its not my personal area of interest. The information I had was "scrapped" from a railways point of view, so once it was no longer a serviceable vehicle and off the property they didn't care so it may do or may not

BP4417.
Thanks to you and the others who contributed to the info.
Are you able to post the line drawing, or would it be too big.
