I feel agreaved that the upgrades on the Beenleigh line will stop at Fruitgrove. Kuraby needs the lifts just as much as the other stations!

The most recent Salisbury - Kuraby upgrade brochure says Kuraby will now be getting the upgrade including lifts, as a result of feedback during the community consultation phase of the project.

So, all of us who submitted feedback saying this can take a pat on our respective backs.

cheers,
Colin

I saw 5/6 class leaders today at Bowen Hills ...
- EMU 01
- SMU 201, 221
- IMU 101, 121

EMU 37's QR logo has been partially removed ...

EMU 31 has recovered after the Whole Train Fill-In last weekend

There were three 6-Car Ekka Shuttles on the loop today (1FX3, 1FX5, 1FX7) - noted EMU 54/21 on #1FX5 ... I think those people were heading to the Royal Queensland Show (not sure) Wink

Before anyone sees it and comments on it, I take responsibility for EMU 06 on cab 106 having the QR logo removed. Today during graffiti removal the logo actually came off leaving the whole cab under the windscreens yellow. Good photo oportunity while it lasts....!

You made a mess of it Matt. I seen it at Central last night but all eyes were on the talent from the races.

I saw EMU 06/14 on #1117 at Bray Park yesterday. EM106 was coupled in the middle of the train so I couldn't get a shot.

The only other unit I have seen in revenue service with the QR logo totally removed (as opposed to defaced by graffiti chemicals) is an unknown InterCity Express Unit on the Spirit of Capricorn service in 1993.

Looking back now, I think QR were applying the corporate image to their fleet of ICE Units during this period. Exterior corporate image conversions included removal of the green band on the front, applying corporate maroon decals, and painting swing doors grey. I'm not sure whether or not the interior was changed during these conversions.

I will have to search for that photo and post it.

You might know Matt. There was a set heading towards Caboolture (I cannot remember which number) that had one side of TWO cars COVERED in graffiti. Is this being sent to Maryborough for cleaning?

Those scum should be hung, drawn, and quarterd!!!

and then shot, stabbed and bashed...

they will get justice one day 25KV of electricity has a tendency to jump. one day some little turd will climb up to leave his mark and he will get just a little to close

Take them north of Caboolture! 50Kv wires! mmm I love the smell of freshly cooked scum-bags in the morning!

On the 15th of August heading home from the Ekka, Between Coparoo and Buranda (we ended up parrelel running with it) I saw 2830 in Bronco livery with 2256D in QRNational Livery on a long container to Fisherman Islands BMT. Looked very nice, especially because 2256D seemed like it had a new coat of paint, mmm shiny!

The 'D' signifies that the locomotive only has one drivers' station. They're not geneally labelled with a 'D' because every member of the 2251 Class has/will have only one drivers' station.

Haven't seen one of those in yonks, and boy was I surprised to see it Smile.
