It's not as bad as starting a post with "ay". That is the lowest of typical bogan slang out there!

What irks me is people who, in chat or in a forum, say 'Wassup'.
I find that [non] word very, very annoying.

Blame scary movie for that. Some of them just say sup which is a pretty reliable way to contrive a conversation before it starts as unlike how r u it doesn't actually ask you anything in particular.

If someone said sup to me and I said good thanks I'd have to ask them to give me a fish slap

Seriously though, this campaign has my full support.

If this was farewelled back in 2005, then how come it is still widely used today?

Please correct me if such a move was later quashed.

No it is not. Your assertion is incorrect. As someone raised on "Allo Allo" and "Hogans Heroes", I find your statement highly offensive. Can you please explain to me how a statement written in "fake nazi" defames the German people in general?

Well, it has something to do with making fun of accents, this is not just from the mouth of one person, I was actually raised to consider this highly offensive. I am told, this not just being from the mouth of one person, that making fun of a particular accent can be quite offensive to those who talk with that accent. How would you feel if someone made and exaggerated imitation of your accent, if you have never experienced it before, you don't know what it's like. Mad

Well, Crocodile Dundee raked in the bucks at the Australian box office, and Steve Irwin's zoo seems to be doing well, so I don't think too many people are offended.

As for ze Cherman people beink offended, if it's generic, what's the problem? If I'm repeating everything you say in a mock accent, that's different, but in terms of a message board, ve VILL take ze mick.

No worries, aaaay maaate?

I really wonder why this has now meandered into its third thread.

Just because you are offended is no good reason to go stomping over all and any thread to vent your offended feelings. You may have well been brought up and have sensibilities and personal values, but this *is* a public forum, and I wonder if it is really apt to vent your sensibilities across threads of your choice?

OK, mate?
