Just an idea...
To keep it fair, any diagram in this quiz should show some running lines, not just sidings.
This diagram has both running lines and sidings (so it's OK!)
Another clue: Up is towards the left side of the diagram.
Cheers,

Moe?
I take it that the winner finds a diagram somewhere, cuts it and posts it?
That's an attention-getter!

Alamein is a single dead end track with no sidings. Moe doesn't have overhead any more.

Not Alamein, Moe or Ashburton.
All someone needs to do is name the station -
then I'll post a unedited larger image of the station.
David is looking at it the right way:
- The site still has overhead power
- Double track to single track
- Only one platform
- Passengers can still travel by rail to/from the location
- It had sidings in the 1970s but now they've all been lifted
Cheers,
Dreadnought

Ashburton doesn't have that many sidings.
There can't be too many possibilities. Left to right would be Down. Therefore the platfform is on the left when facing the Down direction, and the sidings are on the right where the line is singled. Up trains diverge to the Up line after departing the platform (or at least they did 35 years ago). If it still has overhead, it must be in the suburban area.
But I'm out of ideas!
Cheers
