No fresh clues, just yes/no until Monday.
Not Dunolly.

If a clue is needed, probably the most helpful will be the size of the turntable?

Wouldn't be the Marsh. Annett and Staff locks, nop.

I suspect it's out on a grain line, possibly close to where Roderick has been floating.

Maybe Merringur ?

Not: Dunolly, Bacchus Marsh or Meringur (no turntable).

I will have no internet access from 36 min time until Monday.

Clue time: At the time of the diagram, the turntable was 70 ft [21.3 m]. I have just found that it had replaced a shorter earlier turntable.

Not Mornington, Yea, Dunolly, Bacchus Marsh, Meringur, St Arnaud (wrong turntable position) or Woomelang.

I can't recall which way Woomelang's turntable faced: certainly up end, up side, but i suspect a trailing set of points, not facing set. Also IIRC it had a coal stage.

Notice the absence of a carriage dock: perhaps one had been provided, but removed, perhaps there never had been one (giving a hint to the construction era).

I have just checked some of the transitions in the life of this station.
As with many stations of this style, the initial provision was of tracks 1, 2 & 4, with a gap to allow for 3. At various times, 3 was added, and down-end extensions were added.
I have found the date of installation of the short turntable, and also the date of its replacement with the long one.
When the turntable was removed, the coal-stage siding remained: that is inconsistent with this diagram, which doesn't show such a siding.
The railmotor dock was removed at a date after this diagram, but does not show on the diagram. Perhaps that down-end siding was regarded as the railmotor dock?

This station has/had been a terminus and a through station; at the time of the diagram, it was a through station.

Not Mornington, Yea, Dunolly, Bacchus Marsh, Meringur, St Arnaud, Woomelang or Hopetoun.

AFAIK I sketched Hopetoun for myself, but I won't be able to find it fast. I suspect that there are many similarities to this generic one.

Latest clue: the red (Northern & Midland) timetable (from which four of the eight entries to date have come).

I'm totally guessing now as I have run out of research material.

Not Wycheproof: its turntable was (and still is) at the down end.

Despite the difficulty of a generic plan, several entries have picked on the essential style clues, and given stations of like character (certainly grain belt), just not the one which has this plan. I don't really have any worthwhile clue left; running through the list of stations with turntables will get there by brute force.

Not Mornington, Yea, Dunolly, Bacchus Marsh, Meringur, St Arnaud, Woomelang, Hopetoun, Wycheproof or Charlton (IIRC no turntable).

We could stretch this out for 4 more weeks until John is back, but I think that it will go before then.

Notice the subtle clue: a reference to railmotor dock/siding, which places the station as one on a railmotor route (I have been there by scheduled railmotor, also by steam-hauled railway-enthusiast tour).
